A little over a year ago I was contacted by an extraordinary woman named Angie about a new website concept that she was developing. Each week, Angie and her partner Amy were going to host a contest for all photographers, amateur and pro alike, for a little friendly competition. Angie was extremely excited about the possibilities open to them from their new idea and I was thrilled to help them in any way that I could. I participated many moons ago as a judge and competed myself several times, even winning once! You can view my “messy” entry here. BUT, I don’t think that Angie, Amy or I EVER realized how much this was going to take off and blow everyone’s minds!
Life started catching up to me this past year and unfortunately I procrastinated, hemmed and hawed, and finally stopped participating in the weekly challenges. In fact, it’s been so long that I had to go look at the instructions on how to enter my photo this week! One of my goals this year is to participate at least once a month again in the phenomenon that is I Heart Faces. Leave it to me to have procrastinated to the first challenge this year that I have ZERO experience in. That’s right folks, the magical world of textures has always seen me on the outside looking in. I decided to bite the bullet this week however and dive in with my very first ever textured photo! I hope you all enjoy
Make sure you all join the fun over at I Heart Faces!
